A mezzotint portrait which depicts Mr. Edward Bright, then known as the fattest man in Britain. The image depicts Mr. Bright in full length seated as he turns left to face the viewer. His hands rest on the arms of his chair, the buttons of his coat straining to contain the bulk of his enormous stomach. Several buttons have been left undone top and bottom evidently to accommodate his mass. This image is thought to have been based upon an original painting after Ogborne; state after engraver's name partially erased, before reworking. 1750 Mezzotint
