An unusual19th century stoneware pitcher of a rotund character relaxing with a pint of ale. Resembling a Shakespearian character ( possibly Falstaff ?) or Santa Clause / Kris Kringle in attire. Wearing high boots, leather belt and fringed jacket. Possibly Brampton or Dolton, unmarked in wonderful condition.
