A large George III seamed baluster form Country House copper ale jug, with hollow handle with upper escutcheon reinforcement, marked L.L. beneath a rolled rim. The scale and form of this example differentiate it from the more typical measures on the market, with its bulbous body, flared base and copper riveted spout cover and handle mount. An exceptional item in wonderful condition. Circa 1800-1820.
