A sage green and ivory paint decorated and geometrically “chip carved” box, currently contains a collection of ivory topped dominoes.
This somewhat naively carved example was commonly used for the storage of candles or writing instruments.
Recently acquired from a local estate, we believe this example to be American, as much of the collection originated in the United States.
