A late 18th century red painted armorial leather fire bucket, painted with the phrase:
HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE"
which translates to: Shame on him who thinks evil of it. A motto associated with the order of the garter.

Believed to date from the late 18th century, circa 1780-1790
